Dreams:
The Art Laboratory

Since childhood, I’ve navigated vivid, strange dreams, yet I once dismissed them as mere echoes of sleep.

My perspective shifted at a London art college while studying contemporary art. My mentor, a theater director, listened to me compare the structure of the film “Last Year at Marienbad” to my dreams and replied: “You can dialogue with them.” He urged me to keep a dream journal. From then on, I began sketching every dream fragment into a dedicated sketchbook.

One night, I experienced a dream from two simultaneous perspectives. I transformed this vision into an immersive installation—a fusion of labyrinth and video. This endeavor revealed a hidden truth: dreams are not just inspiration, but vital resources to complete our unfinished personal narratives.

It felt like an alchemy between my waking and dreaming selves, a refined collaboration that remains the driving force of my creative spirit.

Dreams: A Source of Inner Power

As my journal grew, my dreams deepened, turning sleep into a nocturnal voyage across impossible landscapes. These journeys became a private ritual—a way to traverse the strata of my own memory and emotion. Among them, certain visions stood out: otherworldly, sublime, and imbued with an intelligence far beyond my own. Dreams became secret portals, connecting me to something vast and nameless. Years later, in a Prague gallery, I stood frozen before a sketch by an unknown artist.
It was the exact landscape I had dreamt of a decade prior. I felt no shock, only a profound sense of homecoming. It was a fragment of a dream I had longed to revisit but had no words to describe. When I later recognized that same archetypal landscape in the Tarot, the realization was electric. I began to sense a profound synchronicity between the language of dreams and the symbols of Tarot—a discovery that redefined my journey.

Your Secret Sanctuary

Fascinated by these synchronicities, I delved into the mechanics of Tarot and the alchemy of dreams. They became essential tools for mapping the inner labyrinth—a laboratory of the heart where abstract emotions take shape and future shadows are revealed.

When a sorrowful dream is decoded through Tarot, the perspective shifts, and the soul grows lighter. On days when reality feels stagnant, the unconscious whispers alternative possibilities through our dreams.

As my connection with the unconscious deepened and my dialogue with the “other self” within grew richer, a profound sense of peace began to anchor my daily life. It was a sensation of being gently yet resiliently pushed forward from the inside out.

The symbols crafted by the unconscious draw out deep insights; by weaving them into our conscious minds, they provide a compass for “our own story.” This is the magic that transforms the mundane into the sacred—the very essence of art. I wondered: could I shape this experience, born from creative exploration, into a sanctuary where anyone can return to their true self?

This is how AliceMYSTICA was born.

I look forward to encountering the story that is “You” at the end of this labyrinth.
